My therapist in session today: Our thoughts are created by ourselves. The only person to have the power to change ones thought process is oneself. Once you promise yourself to try your hardest to change the thought into something positive, your mind will start to override the negative thoughts and the positive thoughts will once again have the power and control. Negative thoughts are like an invading army, they don't belong there but will stay until they are fought against and lose. Never let yourself lose the inner war going on in your mind. You have the power to stop the negative thoughts, but you have to also want to, otherwise no matter what we do, the negative thoughts will win.
